It is recommended that cats are kept away from sleeping babies, and kept out of the new baby’s room.

Phil is a good looking Malamute. Except for the tail.

Now don’t jump to conclusions. As usual with videos, we only get one side. We don’t know what happened before he started recording. Kid probably deserved that.

The cat would already be plotting to kill the usurper.

I love Phil and Niko. Cute doggies.
The couple are very fond of their dogs (and Milo the cat).
The dogs love Mia (the baby) but they are also very cautious of the dogs around Mia and never leave the child alone. But the dogs get on really well with Mia and love her to bits and very protective of her.

They covered it in another video - he's been diagnosed with full body alopecia, he's lost his entire outer coat, all his remaining fur is his soft undercoat that's now 3 years old, since he hasn't shed or grown anything new since then.

awww... poor Phil. There’s a disease that only gets the tail, I forget what. I thought he that.
My Rin is on cyclosporine, an immune suppressant, for sebaceous adenitis, where she was losing her entire coat. A Malamute had to wear a jacket, even inside, due to cold!

Aww, poor girl. The good thing is dogs aren’t as wrapped up with their physical appearance as humans are, so no matter what happens to them, they keep the same positive attitude and bubbly personality, nothing gets them down.
I think with Phil, they thought he had a thyroid condition and were treating him for that for a year with no improvement, then went and got more comprehensive tests. He’s on some med for it now, but it’s pretty recent, so no effects yet. Different condition, but similar symptom - with my finesteride, it took a solid year before I had really noticeable results.

ha, you’re right. Rin’s disease affects me psychologically a lot more then it does her. To the point where I’m willing to put her on an powerful immune suppressant. yike!
You’re really a Phil fan! You know everything about him! He’s such a good dog from that one video. Most Malamutes are.

I watch most of the major sled dog channels, good antidepressants. Lot of huskies and malamutes on YouTube these days, all entertaining. Dogs are great, they can get a leg amputated and just go, oh I guess I have 3 now, whatever, and go straight back to playing like nothing's different.
